BLAZIN' A TRAIL IN 2012
The Battle Creek Blaze will be holding our tryout for the 2012 summer season on Friday, January 27th at Lakeview Middle
School gym, beginning at 7:30PM. Cost to participate in this event is $10 and will be credited to your 2012 Player Fee. Please
wear workout clothes and gym shoes. "If you want to play for the Blaze, this is your chance. We're rebuilding this season and
you can earn your roll right off the bat".
The only way that there will be a Blaze team in 2012 is if we increase our numbers. If you know of any players that you
believe will dedicate themselves to our cause, they need to attend this event. I have no interest in "promises" of interested
players. They need to attend this event. Those that absolutely CANNOT attend need to contact GM Kurt Ploehn.
The 2012 Membership Fee scale is as follows;
• 5th or 4th Year of Service: $50 if paid in February - $100 if paid in March.
• 3rd Year of Service: $75 if paid in February - $125 if paid in March.
• 2nd Year of Service: $100 if paid in February - $150 if paid in March.
• 1st Year of Service: $150 if paid in February - $200 if paid in March.
All offensive linemen will play for HALF of the fees listed above.
You may obtain your Player Fee as a Sponsorship by a business. The sponsor will receive a business card-sized ad in the
program and a listing on our web site with a link to their web presence. Regular program sponsors can buy ads in the
program...$250 for a full page ad, $125 for a half page ad. Business card-sized ads in the program are $25. More Sponsorship

Players must have your own Individual Protective Equipment (helmet & shoulder pads). Helmets must be black, with a black
facemask. Individual protective equipment may be bought or rented from the Blaze, provided your Membership Fee is paid in
full. Equipment issue is based on availability and that availability will obviously change.
We hope to be outside (Northwestern Middle School) in full gear, the first week of April, weather permitting. No
player/prospect shall participate in official Blaze practices (non-OTAs) until Membership Fee is paid in full. Jersey numbers
will be assigned on a first- paid, first-served basis. Returning players have until March 1st to retain their chosen number.
