initiative "Skillz 'N Drillz" is underway. Blaze

Relay For Life
Coming off what is arguably the worst defeat in franchise history - a defeat at the
hands of the Ohio Outlawz, a group of Blaze members showed what this program is
truly about; leaving a positive mark as our impact in society.

After arriving back from the game in Kenton, OH (approximately 3 AM), the
exhausted but dedicated group of Robbie Crockett, Tayten Crockett, Randy Tessin,
Mitch Peterson, Jason Doubleday, Chad Drake, Kip Cummins, and Brooks Pritchett
(taking the photo) still managed to represent the organization by participating in
accumulating laps for the 2009 Relay For Life.

If anyone had any doubts about where our priority lies, this night clearly put them to
rest. Even in a loss, we managed to find victory.

Blaze teams with Junior League
Almost two dozen Blaze members (players, coaches, and staff) came
together to offer nearly 50 hours of service over April's first
weekend. The benficiary of these efforts are the inhabitants of
Woodlawn Pre-School, at the corner of 22nd and Territorial.

Duties included painting, electrical work, cabinet and bookshelf
repair, and a few other odds 'n ends.
Thanks to the Junior League for inviting us out!

You'll find the Blaze at our next Community Service Event:

Look for us once again at this year's Downtown Holiday Parade on Saturday,
Nov. 19th, at 6pm. We'd like to thank our friend and Blaze supporter Dale
Wilson for volunteering his time, truck, basket and burner from his hot air
balloon,
Seventh Heaven, to set the sky "ablaze" accompanying the team once
again!
